Dutch Housing delegates on a learning and exchange programme with Irish counterparts were welcomed to Collier’s Place, Duleek on 13th June as guests of Meath Co. Council. The delegates, including CEOs, Senior Policy Advisors and Programme Managers of social housing organisations and care providers, are in Ireland to exchange knowledge, share best practices, and explore innovative solutions for supporting vulnerable citizens in our communities.

Ireland is the first country in the world to have full affiliation to the World Health Organisation’s Global Network of Age Friendly Cities and Communities, with an active Age Friendly Programme in each of the 31 Irish local authorities. This work is supported at national level with Meath County Council hosting the national shared service centre for Age Friendly Ireland.

North & East is fully committed to working with our partners in the provision of high- quality Housing that meets the needs of older tenants and incorporates age friendly design features near local services. The Association worked closely with Meath County Council to deliver these homes which were funded by Capital Advanced Leasing Facility (CALF) from the Department of Housing. Local Government and Heritage and private loan finance via the Housing Finance Agency plc (HFA). Zilic Developments were the development partner.

We thank our tenants for opening their homes to the visitors and making them so welcome.
