North & East Services update in relation to Coronavirus/Covid-19

In line with the most recent advice from Government, all North & East offices remain closed until further notice.  We would like to reassure our tenants that our staff continue to work remotely and our phone lines remain open. We would encourage all tenants to adhere to Government guidelines during the phased re-opening of the country and if you become unwell, please follow the advice of the HSE. If you are an elderly tenant and experiencing day-to-day difficulties or indeed if you are the neighbour of any such tenants, please contact us and we will endeavour to help in any way we can For all concerns or questions, please contact our Tenant Support Desk which is operating as normal during office hours Monday to Friday 01-8200002 or supportdesk@neha.ie  For out of hours emergencies please contact 053 937 4811 More information on our services during this situation is available here

Emmet St. Trim shortlisted for award!

North & East is delighted to have been shortlisted for the category of Best Housing Development in the CiH Housing awards for our development at Millrace Court, Emmet St. Trim, Co. Meath.  This Development was purchased under a turnkey arrangement by North & East Housing Association in June 2018 with funding provided under Rebuilding Ireland and the Housing Finance Agency. Millrace Court is an example of the development of a town centre brown field site that not only provides good quality housing for those on Meath County Council’s waiting lists but also enhances the streetscape of a prominent street in a large rural town.

Christmas Art Classes

Following on from last September’s successful art classes, a special Christmas themed class was held in Connect Resource Centre, Moneymore. Led again by Philomena, all present produced some very impressive Christmas themed Art. New skills were leaned and new friendships made over coffee and cakes and of course paints.

Budding Artists in Moneymore

North & East is always happy to support any community development initiatives led by our tenants whenever possible. One such endeavour was the 6- week painting class led by our Tenant and Artist Philomena.  With the help of our friends in the Connect Family Resource Centre in Moneymore, Philomena helped a group of local women find their inner Van Gogh and as the photos and comments  below show not only were new skills learned but new friendships formed as well. There is already a waiting list for the next course and if you would like to organise something similar in your area, please contact our Tenant Support Desk at info@neha.ie Well done and many thanks to Philomena!

Art Classes at Moneymore

With Winter drawing in it’s time to consider taking up a new hobby and that is just what some of our residents in McArdle Green, Moneymore have done. North & East tenant Philomena has just finished hosting a very successful 6 week painting class in the Connect Family Resource Centre with all participants taking home a finished canvas every week. New skills were leaned and new friendhips made over coffee and cakes and of course paints.

Annual Report 2018

North & East Housing Association has launched its Annual Report for 2018. The year  was a significant one for the Association marking 25 years since its establishment. It was also the year in which the Association provided the highest number of new homes in one year since its foundation. These 67 homes provided in Monaghan, Meath, Fingal, Cavan, Louth and Dublin City together with a number of relets means that 75 households were housed from local authority social housing waiting lists.
